Original marketing begins with actual client questions, specific opinions, transparent reasoning, and tools that do something. Mass-distributed content cannot differentiate the advisor because sameness is the product.
The cardigan problem
The industry keeps publishing beaches, sailboats, smiling retirees, and vague paragraphs about dreams and goals. The customer arrived with a question about a contract. Answer it.
Search systems and humans can both recognize interchangeable content. If another advisor can place their logo above the same article, it is not your media strategy.
Publish your method
Show how you review an annuity. Explain the three reasons you would tell someone to keep a policy. Walk through an underwriting surprise. Teach the reader to challenge you.
Useful specificity attracts better-fit clients because they already understand how you think.
- A lead magnet that withholds the answer
- Generic content with no local or professional insight
- A campaign whose only metric is captured email addresses
Do not publish to prove you exist. Publish to make the reader harder to manipulate.
